This project by Fortress Real Developments is in the heart of downtown Winnipeg and is planned as a mixed use development comprised of condominium apartments, office space and retail. Located one block north of the new MTS Centre (home of the Winnipeg Jets), and flanked by a transit only street to the west, the site is primed for development. This iconic building will have a striking design created by an award winning architectural firm and become the postcard shot for downtown Winnipeg. This $150M+ project is planned to be the tallest free standing structure between Toronto and Calgary
SkyCity Centre Winnipeg is located at 279 Garry Street between Graham Avenue and Fort Street, just one block north of the new MTS Centre (home of the Winnipeg Jets), and flanked by a transit only street to the west. This iconic building will have a striking design created by award-winning Kirkor Architects and will become the postcard shot for downtown Winnipeg. This $200M+ project is planned to be the tallest free standing structure between Toronto and Calgary. Union 31 is designed the unit interiors. McOuat Partnership is handling the marketing. EllisDon built the SkyCity sales centre, and ADhoc Studio developed the digital tools on display. Scatliff + Miller + Murray are the landscape architects on the file. Sales are being handled by Royal LePage Dynamic Real Estate.
SkyCity’s 45-storeys will rise 575 feet and will include 388 residential units, a 25,000 sf ground floor grocery store, 60,000 sf of office space, and covered parking. The project will feature 30,000 sf of amenity space, which includes a 45th floor Sky Lounge and patio, a Movement Haus fitness centre (designed by The Benchmark Group), movie theatre, games room and more!
Use of Proceeds
The purposes of the monies raised via this syndicated mortgage is to assist in addressing various funding requirements related to all elements of the project’s progress, especially prior to the commencement of construction. These requirements include, however are not limited to: Assisting with land acquisition, acquired equity participation, funded development process including architectural drawings, reports and permit applications.
