Capital Pointe

Capital Pointe is a mixed use development located in the heart of downtown Regina, steps from City Hall and the financial district. The 27-storey condominium building will house 186 units and be the tallest residential tower in the province and a signature piece of architecture in the city’s skyline. The multi-tiered building will also include a 12-storey hotel with 140 guest suites; amenities of the hotel will be available to all condominium occupants. The project has obtained all necessary approvals, zonings and permits and has also secured over $20M of pre-sales. Residential condominium apartment units at Capital Pointe range from 441 sf to over 3,700 sf and in price from $175,000 to over $3 million. Project Updates

January, 2017

Works continue to proceed at Capital Pointe. The foundation permit is expected to be issued by the City in the next two to three weeks, which will allow for the construction of the underground garage to commence. In 2017, a rental guarantee program will be announced with a full service company that will guarantee investors rental income as well as provide tenant damage and eviction protection for two years post-occupancy, with options up to five years. October, 2016

Shoring and excavation works are expected to be completed in the next 10 weeks. All final construction drawings for the finished structure have been completed and submitted for review to City. This permit is approximately a 6-week process which will line up to completion of excavation. A revamped project website is now live at capital-pointe.ca.

July, 2016

Construction below grade continues as drilling is completed. Shoring is nearing completion, with full excavation to follow. Capital Pointe will be launching a new sales campaign in the coming months to sell the remaining units. Call (306) 757-1205 for more info.

March, 2016

Below grade construction is fully underway, as ITC construction has begun the excavation and shoring works. An extensive sales push is currently being planned in the coming months.

January, 2016

With the hoarding for the site fully installed, below-grade construction is taking place on this project, with ITC Construction as the management team responsible for the excavation and shoring. The sales centre for the project remains open across the street to capture the great momentum of the project.

October, 2015

Construction has started at Capital Pointe, with excavation and shoring planned to continue through the winter. ITC Construction Group will introduce themselves as the build partner for this mixed-use condominium-hotel project at an official groundbreaking ceremony to be held in October.

September, 2015

The project has 60 firm sales and is moving along well. Negotiations for the hotel continue to be ongoing. SaskPower has successfully completed the first phase of work and are back to completing the second phase.

July, 2015

Permits have been renewed to allow for excavation to start at Capital Pointe later this summer. The final design revisions based on the hotel requirements have been made, and a launch of new suites including penthouse units is planned for September.

January, 2015

Permits to begin site excavation work have been issued, and final geo-technical work is underway. Shoring work will begin once site excavation is completed. A launch of penthouse suites and new redesigned units is planned for the spring of 2015.

October, 2014

With over 50% pre-sales, this landmark project in Regina is completing final requirements to commence construction. Applications for permits have been made, and the development team is working to get started in the next 90 to 120 days.

July, 2014

Capital Pointe is over 50% sold and a sale is being completed for the hotel, to an international hotel chain in excess of $23M with a substantial trust deposit already in place. Submissions have been made for building permits.

March, 2014

The sales centre remains open and over 100 units are now sold. Final working drawings are now being completed in order for construction to begin.

December, 2013

In early December the city approved several requests to get the project moving along. The revised design was presented to the city’s planning commission.

May, 2013

SaskPower and its contractors have begun work on the ducts. The new sales centre is being finished and it will be open for sales in the next 4-6 weeks.
